Trip to Kiran Nadar Museum Noida was planned on Wednesday , 29 Aug 2018. Inquiring under the Transdisciplinary theme "How we express ourselves" This trip with planned with selected grade 5 students who had preferred visual art as a medium to express their thoughts. Students were able to make connections with astounding artist work including murals, portraits, contemporary and modern styles. Students made wonderful connections with artworks depicting portrayal of India's folk culture and rural ethos.

Students were given a curated walk through the exhibition which was titled-New Configurations Vignettes from the recent years.

We were fortunate to appreciate art work done by the following artists -A Ramachandran, Aisha Khalid, Akbar Padamsee, Arpana Caur, Aipita Singh, Avinash Chandra, Ayesha Sultana, Biren De, FN Souza, GR lranna, Gulammohammed Sheikh, Hema Upadhyay, Himmat Shah, Imran Qureshi, J Sultan Ali, Jagannath Panda, Jamini Roy, Jayashree Chakravarty, Jehangir Sabavala, KK Hebbar, Krishen Khanna, Laxman Pai, Mohan Samant, Meera Mukherjee, Mrinalini Mukherjee, Nalini Malani, Nilima Sheikh, Prabhakar Barwe, Pushpamala N, Ram Kumar, Reddeppa Naidu, Rekha Rodwittiya, Somnath Hore, Surendran Nair, Tyeb Mehta, V Ramesh, Zarina.

The Field trip to KNMA gave us a hands on learning experience of the subject, that helped open up learners thinking process.

Students also engaged with a remarkable weaving activity planned by the museum facilitators and learnt about how technique is an integral part of an art work. Artists have started experimenting with the techniques as well. One such artist is Zarina whose work was on display at the museum. She has used paper weaving as her technique to incorporate her ideas. Students were given a free hand to paint their thoughts and to make it more interesting they incorporated it with Krishen Khanna monochrome style.
