• Measures to Ensure Student Safety During High AQI at Pathways School Noida Pathways School Noida

  October 22

As air quality levels fluctuate across Delhi NCR, we want to reassure you that PSN is taking comprehensive measures to safeguard the health and well-being of all students and staff.

Our Facility team begins monitoring the Air Quality Index (AQI) as early as 5:00 AM using the Air Veda system. Readings are reviewed twice daily and shared with the School Director, Principals, GM Admin, Medical Officer, and Heads of PE. Based on these updates, decisions regarding outdoor activities and precautionary measures are taken promptly.

To minimise exposure to air pollutants, the following systems and practices are consistently in place on campus:

1. Clean Indoor Air Environment
Our air purification systems start running from around 5:00 AM, ensuring that students step into clean, filtered air as soon as they arrive. Classrooms operate with a two-stage filtration process; pre-filters followed by MERV-14 filters and are maintained at positive pressure to reduce the entry of unfiltered outdoor air.

2. Continuous Air Quality Monitoring
Throughout the day, AQI levels are closely tracked. During periods of unhealthy air quality:

• Outdoor activities are paused.

• Building entry points are kept closed to limit exposure.

• Our PE team provides alternate indoor activities so students can continue staying active in a safe, controlled environment.

3. Green Campus & LEED-Certified Design
Our campus features extensive greenery, both indoors and outdoors, which supports cleaner air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. As a LEED-certified school, our landscaping and environmental design meet global standards ensuring that our green spaces are not just abundant, but purposefully planned to enhance air quality and overall well-being.

4. Safe & Clean Transportation
Our new buses are equipped with built-in air purifiers that meet the highest safety standards, ensuring a clean and protected commute for students even on high-AQI days.

At Pathways, student safety remains our highest priority. We hope this update offers clarity and reassurance regarding the steps taken to maintain a healthy learning environment during the current air quality conditions.
