Our excursion to Mandawa, Rajasthan, for a Grade 6 camp at the desert resort was a delightful retreat spanning three comfortable nights. Amidst the rustic charm of the desert, the children relished various activities, including hiking, mud painting, and engaging in leadership tasks. Exploring the region's heritage, they marvelled at fresco art in havelis and immersed themselves in Rajasthani culture through authentic cuisine and local tours. Each day brought new discoveries and experiences, fostering bonds among the children as they shared in the wonders of the desert landscape and its vibrant traditions.
On the final night, the desert resort transformed into a scene of jubilation as the children donned ethnic attire for a memorable evening of dance and bonfire, casting shadows against the desert sands as they celebrated the richness of Rajasthani culture under the starlit sky. It was a fitting culmination to their immersive journey, leaving them enriched and enthralled by the cultural tapestry of Rajasthan.
