It is extremely easy to fill in your name within a small blank box in a sign-up sheet, Not knowing to what it leads. The opportunity we were given this year, was to be a part of one of the most prestigious MUN's, "The Oxford Global MUN". At the start, We signed up for it just because "Oh we might get to travel with our friends" factor, But as the days got closer, and the clock ticked faster, it all seemed so much more real. And there we were, competing amongst more than 2000 students from all over the world. It was more than just gaining an education, but an experience for a lifetime - teaching us how to be independent, how to interact with people from all over the world, how to think on the spot, and most importantly, how to get ready and manage to look decent, in no time! The level of the conferences there was nothing like we had experienced before; everything was in a much more diplomatic form. As, delegates from all over the world brought in with them a touch of their identities, which gave us a much wider perspective on the vastness of opinions and how much they can vary. It made us more confident about ourselves. In a big room with up to 100 people unknown, we learned how to put our stand out there, and fight for it until the end. Oxford wasn't just a learning experience, but one of the best opportunities we've got so far!
