Tyger Tyger Burning Bright… In the forests of the Night!’…but the forests are dwindling soon and the creature of beauty, in imminent danger!

 Inquiring into adaptations of animals in order to survive in their habitats, on the 07th Feb. 2020, Grade 2 students had a session with noted educator, author, and tiger conservationist, Ms. Hema Maira. Speaking about her passion for this striped beauty and her book, ‘Looking at the Tiger’, co-authored by her students, Hema lent insight into the traits of the tiger, their habitat, their ways of adapting to the habitat and finally, the impact of human actions on the habitat of the tiger and the animal itself. She enthralled our little ones with stories of her visit to the Ranthambore National Park and her encounters with the tigers in the Park. She spoke about how we can bring about awareness about this endangered species.

 It was wonderful to see the students respond to her session so well and understand how we can be responsible citizens and help save this beautiful animal from extinction.
