Now that our nursery graders feel well settled in class….... it is time for us to widen our horizons of friendship and social bonding. So, children excitedly stepped out wearing ‘I love my friend’ wristbands to celebrate new friendships in an exciting way called the HELLO DAY on Wednesday, 27^th Sept.
They enjoyed entering with their friends, tucking the balloons between their tummies through the colourful passages. Nursery graders were thrilled learning to say ‘hello’ in different languages – Guten ta, Ni Hao, Hola, Namaste, by confidently scanning the QR coded audio files for correct pronunciation. Children enjoyed engaging and socialising with peers at stations like friendship walk, passing on the joy, sharing happiness, helping hand, roll and move, buddy reading and Say a new Hello. Foot tapping numbers got the children hooked on to dancing with their buddies. We relished eating delicious cookies with chocolate syrup together to end the event with joyful glees and smiles ??
Hello Day created opportunities for meeting and making new friends and facilitating the development of social skills, self-management skills, and communication skills.
